The Missouri Migrant Education and English Language Learning (MELL) program, a project served by the St. Louis Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC), is now taking registrations for its "Teaching English Language Learners Institute," which begins September 3.
Participants will learn and apply teaching techniques necessary to make the content comprehensible to the English learner in their classroom. The Institute, scheduled over five days concluding in November, designed to help educators acquire teaching techniques, as well as network with others who are new to teaching English Language Learners (ELL). In addition, the Institute will provide two on-site coaching visits to assist the implementation of the techniques and strategies presented in the workshops.
