Administrator Mentor Program
In
cooperation with the Missouri Department of Elementary and
Secondary Education, an Administrator Mentoring Program (AMP) is
available throughout the State. Missouri requires all new school
leaders to receive two years of structured and documented
mentoring. The AMP initiative provides new school district
leaders with access to trained mentors. Through the program, new
leaders receive 26 hours of customized mentoring support for two
years.
Several
participants from CSD member districts are currently being mentored
by an AMP mentor. CSD and the St. Louis Regional Professional
Development Center (RPDC) are working closely through AMP to offer
small group learning experiences for new leaders and their
mentors.
