49 Area Educators Graduate From Leadership Academy for Character Education (LACE)

49 new names have been added to the graduation list of the Sanford N. McDonnell Leadership Academy for Character Education (LACE). Following a year-long experience that included a series of full-day workshops, site visits to exemplary schools, monthly written assignments and attendance at Cooperating School Districts annual character education conference, 49 St. Louis-area educators recently graduated from the academy. The list of graduates includes principals, assistant principals, counselors and classroom teachers.
LACE is a joint program funded by CHARACTERplus, a project of Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis, Inc. (CSD) and the College of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. However, thanks to the generosity of Sandy McDonnell, participants were able to complete the rigorous, year-long program at no cost to the participant, his or her school or the district.
