President Obama Marks First 100 Days at Fox C-6 School District
Obama takes questions from students during town hall forum
Fox High School will go down in history as the location where
President Barack Obama celebrated his first 100 days in office.
Students, elected officials and local citizens packed the high
school gymnasium on Wednesday, April 29 to hear Obama discuss
issues ranging from climate change to the H1N1 virus.
During Obama’s visit to Fox High School, he fielded six questions
from the audience, two of which were from Fox students. One from
fourth-grader, Laurel Bonebrake, who asked how his administration
plans to be more environmentally friendly.
Overall, 1,200 people were selected to attend the town hall forum.
Fox C-6 School District Superintendent Dianne Brown said the
planning and coordination for the event between the school,
regional law enforcement and the federal government was amazing in
itself.
