Five Area Teachers Honored With CSD Scholarship Awards
The Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis, Inc.
(CSD) is proud to recognize five area teachers as recipients of CSD
Scholarship awards. The scholarships are given on an annual basis
to assist highly deserving teachers with the opportunity to
continue their professional development.
Kelly O’Connor, a title one reading teacher with the Bayless School
District is the recipient of the Robert D. Elsea Scholarship Award
established in honor of Dr. Robert D. Elsea, who served as CSD’s
executive director for 21 years. Terri Eldridge, a fourth grade
eMINTS teacher in the Fox C-6 School District is the recipient of
the Gerald D. Troester Scholarship Award. The scholarship award was
established in honor of Dr. Gerald D. Troester, who served as CSD’s
executive director for five years. Tanya Sanchez, a high school
English teacher in the City of St. Charles School District is the
recipient of the Gary K. Wright Insurance Trust Scholarship Award.
The scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Gary K. Wright, who
served as CSD’s executive director for nine years. Rachel Haug, a
first grade teacher in the Bayless School District is the recipient
of the John Oldani Scholarship Award. The scholarship was
established in honor of Dr. John Oldani, who served as CSD’s
executive director for six years. Kathleen Dwyer, a high school
science teacher in the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District
is the recipient of the CSD Health Insurance Trust Scholarship
Award.
The Cooperating School Districts’ Board of Directors presented the
awards to the five area teachers at their annual Spring Conference
Meeting of school board members and superintendents held at
Westview Middle School in the Riverview Gardens School District on
April 30.
Cooperating School Districts is a non-profit educational consortium
of 65 public school districts in Missouri and Illinois.
