Four St. Louis-area CHARACTERplus schools and one district receive award

The Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis, Inc. (CSD) congratulates four local CHARACTERplus schools and one district as winners of the 2008 National School of Character award.

A blue ribbon panel of the Character Education Partnership (CEP) recently made their selections.  The St. Louis-area CHARACTERplus schools and district are: Chesterfield Elementary School (Rockwood School District); Francis Howell Middle School (Francis Howell School District); Lindbergh School District (a National School District of Character); Sappington Elementary School (Lindbergh School District); Valley Park Middle School (Valley Park School District). Only five other schools nationwide are receiving this honor.

The National Schools of Character honorees will be recognized at the CEP Annual Forum in Washington, D.C. in October.
