Two CSD Employees Honored With Creative Service and Dedication Award

Mary Carr and Judy Owens have been selected recipients of the CSD Award, which honors exemplary employees who enhance the overall climate and mission of CSD through their outstanding work performance. The CSD “Creative Service and Dedication” Award is an annual award. Mary Carr, financial manager for CSD Business Services, has been with the organization for 17 years. Mary works with payroll, taxes, benefits, annuities, retirement, insurance and assists with the annual audit.

Judy Owens, an eight-year employee, is coordinator of CSD’s CHARACTERplus. Judy works closely with character education coaches and facilitators, does school site visits, coordinates state and federal government grants and works with the research team to plan, implement and evaluate character education initiatives. A committee comprised of past CSD Award winners selected the two recipients who will be recognized August 8, during CSD’s annual Kick-Off event. Also recognized will be the CSD Award nominees including Martha Bogart, Sandy Happold, Tom Post, Joe Saputo, and Debbie Selders.
