Best Practices Conference: Honoring Teachers, Classrooms
Opportunity to hear from local educators who are making a difference
Through a joint project
between the St. Louis Regional Professional Development Center
Advisory Committee (RPDC) and Cooperating School Districts, the
Best Practices Conference is being held June 5, at Ritenour High
School, 9100 St. Charles Rock Road.
Through the Best Practices Conference, participants will have the
opportunity to hear and learn from practitioners in St. Louis-area
schools whose practices are making a difference for students and
teachers. Participants can attend three breakout sessions and also
participate in a structured roundtable discussion of their choice,
ranging from:
• How do we use data to drive decision-making?
• How do we use released items from MAP?
• New Teacher Mentoring Program, how do we help and train new
teachers?
• What can we do to create more time for teachers to
collaborate?
• How do we involve students in the assessment?
• Accelerating kids, how do we move them along?
• Aspiring principals/administrators, how do we help them?
• National Board Certification – what’s it all about?
Some of the breakout sessions
will highlight National Board Certified teachers. The Best
Practices Conference begins at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m.
The registration deadline is May 29, 2007.
