National Board Pre-Candidate Test

The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Pre-Candidate course helps teachers who are thinking about applying for National Board Certification. While the course is not a requirement it assists teachers in making the decision to become a candidate. Participants will learn about the National Board process including the NBPTS core propositions, standards, portfolio entries (including videotaping), and written assessment requirements for National Board Certification. Joan Rigby, a National Board Certified Teacher, will conduct the class. University credit (two hours) is available through Webster University.
